Who am I??

Hi, my name is Dottie. This blog is about whatever I happen to be interested in at the time. Right now that is things like family (always), nutrition, natural products, alternative medicine, and generally well being.

Sometimes I will write about homeschooling my kids. I have three kids in the preteen range. They keep me pretty busy and very crazy. I love being a mom and helping them find their passions. We don’t follow any particular curriculum. Mostly I ask them to spend a bit of time each day doing math and reading then allow them to focus on their own interests.

My husband is my soulmate. We have been together for 13 years so far and look forward to the rest of our lives together. He is English and I am American. Having lived in both countries has allowed us to see everything a bit differently then how we each grew up. Experiencing different cultures is an amazing opportunity to learn. In the future I hope we will be able to travel more with our kids and follow the road not taken a bit more. Hard to do I know but often rewarding.

Thanks! We have been homeschooling for a year and are happy with the idea…it is figuring out the exact plan that can be tough. I like reading blogs for ideas on implementing plans.

This might be one of the best “Abouts” I’ve read on a blog. 🙂

  3. Love this! I can often be found reading Harry Potter as well, I enjoy traveling, I dislike beige (and loved your line about it) and, while I don’t homeschool because I do not have the temper for it, I do have a lot of friends who do and I totally admire them for that dedication. I love Jesus, too – all of which seem like you and I have a few things in common!

Well thank you greatly. I like yours as well! Keep up the good work on your side and I will try not to fall too grievously behind.
